Anxiety is a feeling of unease which can be mild or severe.
Most people experience feelings of anxiety at some stage in their life, perhaps when facing a challenging event, grief or a significant life change.
It is a coping response when faced with a perceived threat.
For some people these feelings will pass, however for others the feelings of anxiety do not go away and have a significant impact on the individual's life.
Depression can be described as low moods or constant sadness that lasts for weeks or months and impacts on your daily life. Feelings of hopelessness, low self-esteem, unhappy and a lack of interest in the things you once enjoyed. You may suffer from tiredness, poor sleep pattern, headaches, emptiness, anxiety and be cranky.
Depression can be caused by many things such as stressful events, family history or giving birth.
It has a knock on effect on your home life, relationships, confidence and your career.
